The North Carolina State Wolfpack compete in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision and the Atlantic Coast Conference Atlantic Division. The NC State Wolfpack began play in 1892. As a member of the ACC, the Wolfpack have won seven ACC championships and played in 23 bowl games. The NC State Wolfpack play their home games at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh. The head football coach of the NC State Wolfpack is Tom O'Brien. The 2010 NC State football team went 9-4 and represented the ACC in the Citrus Bowl.
